What motivated you to take part in our contest?

It’s always been my biggest dream to work with people in this sector. As soon as I heard about the contest I just knew I had to take part! I wanted to share my looks with more people and prove my talent. I see this contest as an opportunity to grow and really push myself.

Even as a child, I was fascinated by make-up. Whether my mum, sister or friends, I was always making somebody up or ‘beautifying’ their hair. Two years ago, I decided to take it all to a more professional level and alongside my career as a nursery nurse, I started to do make-up and hair for brides, photo and video shoots, etc. It wasn’t about money but rather the activity itself – the experience, the training. In November 2017, I moved from Mannheim to Berlin and reduced my hours as a nursery nurse to three days a week to enable me to prepare myself as a make-up artist and work on freelance projects. I know that this competition will help me on my way and I can finally realise my dream of becoming a make-up artist! I’m going to give it my all! :)

I’ve always dreamed of taking part in a competition like this, but the chance never came along – until I saw the flyer in Müller. I was immediately ready to pursue my hobby, which just happens to be my little talent, and enter the contest. The creativity of make-up art and the pleasure I get from it is what motivated me.

What motivated you to take part in our contest?

Actually, it was a spontaneous decision – I was shopping for my make-up products in the Mueller drugstore one day when your ‘The next makeup artist’ flyer caught my attention. I was so excited because as an artist, you have given me a chance to express and showcase my creativity in a job that I live for. As I already knew Makeup Factory's make-up style, I was even more excited because I absolutely love it!
